We’ve had a busy, but
blessed summer here at the church and at our home.
God shows Himself to be faithful over and over again.
As we tire and feel overwhelmed at times with the ministry of two
churches He continues to refresh us and strengthen us to the task of keeping up.
Isaiah 40:31 is continually a source of strength for both Sally and I.
We truly are given fresh strength and wisdom when we remember where our
hope is. Recently we met with and
hired a new assistant pastor to help at the church.
God is so good, He always
sends above and beyond what we hope for. We
needed someone to in the ministry at Lafayette Community Church and to give
relief to us with ministering to the many families that we have.
He sent not just a man of God, but a family of God.
Dax Garlinghouse comes to us as a package deal with his wife, Angeline,
and 6 children. From our meetings
with them over the past few weeks we can see already that they will each be a
blessing in their own way.
The children range in age from 12 down to three months. With Dax’s experience and education he will be able to
minister in several different departments.
We look forward to an exciting year as he will be starting effective
September 1 and will be with to begin the fall programs.
